Secret Service Sniper WARNS Another Assassination
According to a scathing letter circulating within the agency, a Secret Service sniper believes that another attempt at assassination against a presidential candidate is imminent before Election Day because the attack on former President Donald Trump showed the vulnerability of Secret Service security.
If not right now, when does this agency NEED to change? The next attempted murder in thirty days?
“Everyone SHOULD anticipate that there will be another attempt before November. Because of our leadership, we have demonstrated that we cannot defend our leaders.”
Law enforcement sources informed the Post that the letter’s authenticity was confirmed.
It was distributed on Monday to every member of the Secret Service’s Uniformed Division, the division of law enforcement that guards the White House. The agent accused the high-ranking superiors of failing the rank-and-file Secret Service employees, and the sniper requested their resignation.
“Regretfully, we have failed for years. We were fortunate enough to look decent while doing it. I’ve shared these ideas with more than just supervisors.” The letter said, “only to be dismissed as those with less experience somehow knew more than me.”
“The foot soldiers working and the Secret Service Supervisors who ‘knew better’ made the best out of a bad situation.”
It continued by saying that the mistakes made on July 13, which led to Trump being shot in the ear and a brave firefighter dying behind him, had damaged the credibility of the Secret Service and all of its officers. The day was “a stain I will never be able to cleanse,” according to the sharpshooter.
It is unclear who wrote the letter—the counter-sniper. They identified themselves as a former Marine and over 20 years of service on the Secret Service’s counter-sniper team.
How the Secret Service has managed prior presidents’ security has come under intense examination ever since the catastrophic assassination attempt.
Questions over why Trump was permitted to stay onstage were raised when law enforcement officials earlier told The Post that there was a full 30 seconds between when local police contacted gunman Thomas Crooks and the first shots he fired at Trump.
According to the acting head of the Secret Service, agents were never alerted to the fact that Crooks was carrying a gun on the roof.
That perplexing question was further supported by recently discovered CCTV from the shooting scene, which showed local police surrounding the building the shooter was firing from for more than two minutes before the incident. The area where Crooks fired was governed by local police, but the Secret Service was ultimately in charge of organizing security for the day.
