A new lawsuit alleges that then-Vice President Joe Biden used a pseudonym to quietly send and receive more than 80,000 emails during his time in office. The revelations come as the House Judiciary and Oversight committees expand their investigation into the business dealings of the president and his family.
The lawsuit filed by the Southeastern Legal Foundation resulted in an admission from the National Archives that Biden sent the pseudonymous emails. Included in the release were a number of emails sent under names such as Robin Ware and Robert Peters.
An attorney for the conservative group said that the news that Biden sent or received tens of thousands of emails in such a fashion was “shocking.”
The attorney said that the “American public has a right to know what is in those emails.”

The contents of most of the emails have not yet been fully disclosed. However, at least ten of the emails sent in 2016 included carbon copies sent to Biden’s son Hunter. One included information about a meeting between Biden and the then-president of Ukraine.
This email was revealed through files accessed from Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Furthermore, Hunter Biden also received emails from a member of Biden’s staff regarding Biden’s claim that the United States would withhold $1 billion in aid to Ukraine unless then-President Petro Poroshenko fired prosecutor Viktor Shokin.
Shokin had been investigating the energy company Burisma. Hunter Biden was being paid about $1 million per year to sit on the company’s board.
The release of the information was due to a lawsuit launched by the Southeastern Legal Foundation in August through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) notice.
In addition, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has also requested unredacted versions of the emails between Joe and Hunter Biden.
Comer posted correspondence on the subject, writing that there was “mounting evidence that Joe Biden was involved in his family’s influence peddling schemes, including while he served as Vice President. However, Democrats and their corporate media allies continue to ignore this overwhelming evidence as they seek to distract the American people from the Biden family’s corruption. Below are over 20 examples of Joe Biden’s involvement.”
