President Biden was spotted at a Nantucket bookstore on Friday with his son Hunter, purchasing a controversial book titled “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine” by Rashid Khalidi, a known critic of Israel.
When questioned about the president’s choice of reading material during a flight to Angola, White House national security spokesman John Kirby struggled to provide a clear explanation. “I can’t speak to why the president made that particular purchase … but he reads broadly,” Kirby stated, adding that he was uncertain whether Biden had begun reading the book.
From all the books in the world, on Black Friday president Biden chose to buy "The Hundred Years War on Palestine", a book that demonizes the existence of Israel.🤬

The author, Khalidi, has recently made headlines for arguing against Israel’s right to respond to Hamas’s October 7 attack. He also shares a personal connection with former President Barack Obama, with the Los Angeles Times notably withholding a video of Obama speaking at Khalidi’s farewell celebration, despite previously reporting its existence during the 2008 presidential campaign.
Biden says he stands with Israel now and forever, but then handed the Palestinians a check for 100 million dollars. Primetime isn’t sure what this trip accomplished. Symbolically – a victory for Israel. Financially- a victory for Hamas. pic.twitter.com/1F02wmWVX3

While Hunter Biden previously showed support for Israel by attending a rally last year, there’s speculation about whether both his and his father’s perspectives have shifted. Responding to the purchase, Khalidi commented that Biden had bought the book “4 years too late” to influence his policies in favor of Palestinian interests.
