“The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the Nation’s highest civilian honor, presented to individuals who have made exemplary contributions to the prosperity, values, or security of the United States, world peace, or other significant societal, public or private endeavors,” the announcement continued.
“The first pope from the Southern Hemisphere, Pope Francis is unlike any who came before,” the text declares. “Above all, he is the People’s Pope – a light of faith, hope, and love that shines brightly across the world.”

Biden can't get anything right.

Just days earlier, Biden bestowed the same honor upon Hillary Clinton, whose controversial 2016 campaign remarks included labeling Trump supporters as “a basket of deplorables,” claiming they were “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it.”
The selection of George Soros has drawn criticism from Catholic organizations. Bill Donohue of the Catholic League condemned Soros as an “anti-Catholic bigot” who has undermined Western civilization and supported censorship initiatives.
Biden, often described as devoutly Catholic, also honored former Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, praising her advocacy for reproductive rights and voter mobilization. During her leadership, Planned Parenthood reportedly performed 3.9 million abortions.
