Joe Biden and his family’s ties to China have long been subjects of speculation for the American people.
During Biden’s time as vice president, his son, Hunter Biden, enjoyed lucrative business dealings with the Chinese communist government and other foreign nations.
Biden says he never spoke with his son about his business affairs in China. Although, a recently leaked voicemail from Biden to his son tells a very different story.
Many Republicans have called for the White House to be fully transparent with the American public about what ties Biden, Hunter, or other members of the first family may have with communist China.
GOP members furthermore warn that conflicts of interests could impact the president’s policies that pertain to China. These concerns have returned to the forefront of national discussions, amid Biden’s approach to Chinese solar companies.
Giving Communist China a Free Pass?
In a new twist, Democrats are now joining the GOP in calling out Biden and his questionable approaches to the Chinese communist government.
Multiple congressional Democrats wrote to federal authorities, inquiring about why Chinese solar suppliers weren’t put on a list that prohibits imports made with slave labor.
Under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has the green light to refuse imports of slave labor in America. The Chinese government is known for not just slave labor, but also for its inhumane treatment of various minorities.
Intended to ban imports from the Xinjiang region unless companies can prove they are made without forced labor, it has become apparent that some solar products made by Chinese companies, whose techniques indicate the use of forced labor, are still being imported into the US.(2/4)

In light of this, Democrats are now warning that if Chinese solar suppliers aren’t added to the list of prohibited imports, this will hurt American workers. Biden’s own party members also warn that forced labor imports will begin to saturate the U.S. market without a ban.
Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) specifically stated America has more than enough domestic businesses and workers to create goods.
Radio Silence From the Federal Government
Neither CBP, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), nor the Chinese solar companies benefiting from U.S. import privileges (despite their use of slave labor) bothered to respond to concerns about this issue.
We must enforce the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and stand resolute in holding the Chinese Communist Party accountable for their atrocious and ongoing human rights abuses. (4/4)

This latest form of pushback from Democrats comes as Biden is gradually bleeding support from his own party.
