A key Congressional leader emphasized the necessity of making permanent changes based on Donald Trump’s DOGE initiative recommendations. Representative Aaron Bean, who serves as co-chair of the House DOGE caucus, shared his insights during a Newsmax appearance on Sunday.

Bean praised initiative leaders Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, describing them as “two of the smartest men in the world.” He noted that while their recommendations would be implemented through executive orders, these could potentially be reversed by future administrations.

The Florida Republican highlighted efforts by Representatives Pete Sessions and Blake Moore to establish a Congressional team focused on solidifying these changes. He referenced the recent Chevron Supreme Court ruling, stating “One of the things that have recently happened that gives us wind in our sails is that Chevron decision, the Supreme Court decision that says these government bureaucracies don’t have the power to create law or go forward.”

Bean emphasized bipartisan cooperation, noting that Democratic Representatives Val Hoyle and Jared Moskowitz have joined the initiative. “Waste, fraud, and abuse shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” said Bean. “We want to get everybody on board so that we can have a robust discussion, and let’s assess what our country’s priorities should be and how we can get lean to compete in this new global stage.”

The congressman encouraged public participation, announcing that citizens can submit spending reduction suggestions to [email protected]. “We’ve already received hundreds of emails of suggestions or ideas,” he said. “We’re going to be divvying those up through the caucus so that we can give them some consideration to see if it’s something we want to carry forward, but it’s going to be an exciting time.”
