A deceptive video circulating on Threads appears to show Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro criticizing former President Donald Trump over pardons during a segment of “The Five.”
Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Jeanine Pirro Criticizing Trump Over Pardons, The Original Fox News Segment Was About Biden #CheckTok #FactCheck #JeaninePirro #DonaldTrump #JoeBiden #HunterBiden pic.twitter.com/biajiDRJIV

However, examination of the original footage reveals Pirro was actually discussing President Joe Biden’s recent pardon of his son Hunter Biden.

Biden today: I pardoned Hunter

Fox News has explicitly refuted the video’s authenticity through a spokesperson.
The misleading video features Pirro stating, “[This] is a classic example of someone who is above the law because he was never even sentenced. Most of the pardons that we hear about are pardons where someone has served their time, they paid their debt to society, and they’re going to end up, you know, getting it removed.”
She continues, “It’s an impediment going forward. Not this case. We won’t even know what he’s being, what his sentence would have been. And then for him to call out the media and select a prosecution is absurd. A jury found him guilty. Are you saying that you don’t believe in the jury system anymore, Mr. President?”
The viral clip, which has garnered over 2,000 likes, has been digitally manipulated to include images of Trump during Pirro’s commentary. The original YouTube segment shows photos of President Biden and Hunter Biden instead.
Neither Pirro, the White House, nor Trump have addressed this misrepresentation. No legitimate news sources support the video’s authenticity, and Lead Stories has already debunked the claim.
A Fox News representative confirmed to Check Your Fact that “This video is not real” and “This video did not air on [the] Fox News Channel.”
Meanwhile, ABC News reports that President Biden is contemplating preemptive pardons for potential Trump targets, including Gen. Mark Milley. According to Politico, the Biden administration is actively debating these possible pardons in preparation for a potential second Trump term.
