False claims about revoking Fauci’s presidential pardon spread

A viral Facebook post claiming Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi requested courts to nullify Dr. Anthony Fauci’s pardon has been proven false.

The misleading claim originated from a satirical Facebook page called “America’s Last Line of Defense” on March 4. The page explicitly states that its content is fictional, describing itself as a network dedicated to “trollery and propaganda for cash.”

During a recent Joe Rogan podcast appearance, actor Woody Harrelson criticized Fauci’s management of both the AIDS crisis in the 1980s and the COVID-19 pandemic, stating that Fauci “did some extraordinarily evil sh-t,” as reported by the New York Post.

The circulating image features Fauci alongside text suggesting Bondi’s alleged court petition to revoke his “illegal pardon,” claiming it’s “time for him to face justice for his crimes.”

This assertion lacks credibility, with no supporting evidence from official channels. The Department of Justice has issued no press releases regarding such action, and Bondi herself has remained silent on the matter across her social media platforms. Former President Trump has also made no statements addressing this claim.

Before departing office, President Biden granted Fauci a pardon covering “any offenses against the U.S.” potentially committed from January 1, 2014, onward.

The absence of mainstream media coverage further confirms the story’s falsehood, as such a significant legal action would have garnered widespread attention if legitimate.

The Department of Justice has been contacted for additional clarification on this matter.
