Israeli officials discovered at least 40 murdered infants in the aftermath of this weekend’s massive attack by Hamas terrorists. The discovery will likely play a significant role in shaping attitudes following the surprise attack.
Members of the Israel Defense Force (IDF) found the approximately 40 dead infants in the town of Kfar Aza. Some of the babies were decapitated.
“It’s not a war, it’s not a battlefield. You see the babies, the mother, the father, in their bedrooms, in their protection rooms, and how the terrorists killed them,” said IDF Major General Itai Veruv.
The officer called the situation a “massacre.”
Israel has mobilized its reserves in the ongoing air campaign against Hamas forces in Gaza. In addition, the country has been determining the exact toll of the weekend’s attack.
So far, there have been signs of large massacres in a number of communities in southern Israel, as well as nearly 300 murdered at a concert held to promote peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
Graphic images have been released online of Hamas members executing civilians and taking others hostage. A number of the incidents were livestreamed or later uploaded onto social media.

The recent revelation is part of the attack that has deeply shaken Israeli society and has resulted in a deep outpouring of sympathy from a number of nations. The most recent death toll from the attack now stands at about 900, with up to several hundred more people taken hostage.
The death toll includes at least 11 Americans and there are an unknown number of Americans and other Westerners taken hostage.
The hostages are being held by Hamas in Gaza. The terrorist organization stated that it would begin executing hostages and releasing videos on the internet should there be any civilian casualties in Gaza.
