Israel Launches Airstrike In Beirut Targeting Hezbollah Commander

Israel LAUNCHES Retaliatory AIRSTRIKE In Beirut

On Tuesday, Israel carried out an airstrike in the capital city of Lebanon, Beirut, intending to target a Hezbollah commander who is suspected of being responsible for the death of twelve children in a rocket attack that occurred over the weekend.

According to the Israeli military, the strikes were carried out to eliminate the leader who is believed to be responsible for the slaughter that occurred on Saturday at a soccer field in the Golan Heights, which is under Israel’s control. This information was confirmed by the Israeli military in an X post.

“The IDF carried out a targeted strike in Beirut, on the commander responsible for the murder of children in Majdal Shams and the killing of numerous additional Israeli civilians,” they wrote in a statement.

A “swift, harsh, and painful” retaliation was promised by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in response to the brutal rocket attack carried out by Hezbollah, which also resulted in the injury of forty people.

“These children are our children … The state of Israel will not, and cannot, let this pass,” he said. “Our response will come and it will be harsh.”

At least one person was killed and several others were injured in the attack that took place on Tuesday in the southern suburbs of Beirut, which is a region that is recognized as a stronghold for the terrorist organization that is supported by Iran.

According to the National News Agency (NNA), which is Lebanon’s state news agency, the attack consisted of three missiles that were launched from an aerial drone.

Beginning on Monday, flights to the Beirut airport were suspended due to concerns that Israel’s retaliation strike might cause problems.

Following the assault on the soccer field, Israeli troops have carried out several airstrikes in southern Lebanon. One of these hits was carried out by a drone on Monday, which reportedly resulted in the deaths of two Hezbollah operatives.

After that strike, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out more barrages, which destroyed numerous weapon storage facilities belonging to the Islamist terrorist group, as well as infrastructure in Lebanon. There is no evidence that Hezbollah was involved in the incident.
