The Duchess of Sussex has made her return to Instagram but wants to distance herself from the influencer label, expressing her preference to be viewed as an entrepreneur and female founder in a recent People interview.

“I see myself as an entrepreneur and a female founder,” she told the publication. “And if the brand ends up influential, then that’s great.”

Reflecting on social media’s evolution since departing the platform before her 2018 royal wedding, Markle noted with amusement, “When I was last on social media, Boomerang was the thing. Instagram Stories didn’t even exist. So it’s been a minute.”

After securing the handle @meghan in August 2023, as exclusively reported by Page Six, Markle maintained a dormant profile featuring pink flowers until New Year’s Day 2025, when she shared her first post – a playful beach video captured by Prince Harry showing her tracing “2025” in the sand.

Since launching her page, the Duchess has been actively sharing content promoting her upcoming Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” and her brand As Ever, while also offering glimpses into family life with Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

Her recent posts include heartwarming moments like Valentine’s Day footage of Lilibet helping prepare heart-shaped strawberry treats, and a weekend video showing her daughter enjoying a game of Candy Land with tennis star Serena Williams.
