Nearly 1 Million Aliens Released Without Court Dates Since Biden’s Inauguration

A total of almost one million illegal migrants have been let loose in the United States without a scheduled date for immigration court since Joe Biden took office.

The figure was first published by NBC News, according to a report by Breitbart. NBC discusses how the agency let hundreds of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens out into the U.S. with no given court dates, instead electing to provide them with a Notice to Report (NTR) to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office or Parole Plus Alternatives to Detention (ATD).

This is different from a “Notice to Appear,” which demands migrants make an appearance in court in order to find out whether they will face deportation or be allowed to stay in the country.

As NBC noted, nearly 600,000 border crossers received NYRs from Biden’s DHS, all but guaranteeing they would never have to appear in court following their entrance into the United States. Another 200,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were at first let out with an NTR alone, but later received court dates.

Many Republican politicians have suggested that the surge in illegal immigration at the southern border is proving to be a disaster for the United States. During a recent congressional testimony, Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) claimed that the U.S. government has been trafficking illegal migrants at a rapid rate, adding that it is now “impossible to deport criminal illegal aliens.”

McClintock blamed the huge influx of migrants on the policies of Joe Biden, saying, “Since Joe Biden canceled the Remain in Mexico policy and ordered ICE not to enforce court-ordered deportations … we’ve seen 1.7 million illegal aliens deliberately admitted into this country and another 1.2 million known got-aways have entered while the Border Patrol has been overwhelmed changing diapers and taking names.”

Surveys have indicated that Americans largely stand in opposition to the ‘Catch and Release’ policies of Joe Biden. As a December 2022 YouGov and LA Times poll noted, 65 percent of Americans said Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) should be either detaining border crossers or immediately sending them back to where they came from.
