Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi isn’t only a hypocrite when it comes to her political mandates but also her religion. Pelosi claims to be a Catholic but goes against fundamental Catholic ideology, such as abortion. After her “maskless” stunt at her local hair salon, she showed the Americans that she cares nothing about citizens’ rights and only about her convenience.
Pelosi has suggested that she won’t run for political office again, but she may not have an option after recent polls show she’s not doing very well.
If Pelosi had to run for a national office, then she would have been taken out of power years ago, but her Democrat base loves her regardless of what she does and how bad the homeless problem gets in her district.
According to a recent Rasmussen Report, Pelosi’s approval rating among Americans is lower than President Joe Biden’s, sitting at 35%. There’s a good reason for her low approval rating as well. Aside from being completely incompetent, even referring to George Floyd as “George Kirby,” Pelosi jams through Democrat spending bills like they’re going out of style. Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, made $5 million on stock options contracts tied to Alphabet’s stock. The stock options profit was made just before antitrust bills were considered. If that isn’t dirty, then I don’t know what is.
The study was done among 1,000 likely voters, and only 4% had no opinion. 60% said that they had an unfavorable view.
Only 64% of Democrats found her favorable, and 13% of Republicans and 25% of independents found her fair. Usually, the Democrats side with each other, but this time is much different. The tides are turning in the Democrat party, and they’re holding politicians more accountable than they ever have. 71% of Republicans find Pelosi unfavorable, and 21% of Democrats. Many independent voters negatively believe Pelosi, making up 57% of the polled independents like Biden’s case. Pelosi is even more disliked than Chuck Schumer (D-NY).
You might be thinking that Democrats were the only ones that did bad, but even Mitch McConnell (R-KY) did terribly with his 55% favorability rate. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) had a 42% favorability rating which is almost as low as Pelosi.
The point is, Americans are fed up with career politicians. The idea of political office was never to stay there forever and make a career out of it. Holding political office should be viewed as an obligation rather than a passion. The standard of ethics and accountability have also been lost, and Americans can see all of it. Get ready for the 2022 midterm election. It’s going to get spicy.
