The question of NBA legend Scottie Pippen’s potential MAGA leanings remains uncertain, though his recent social media activity suggests possible alignment with Elon Musk’s government reform initiatives.

During recent controversies surrounding Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, particularly regarding a young employee nicknamed “Big Balls” who faced backlash for racist remarks but was later reinstated, Pippen made an intriguing contribution to the discourse.

Responding to Musk’s meme about the employee’s impact on federal bureaucracy, Pippen shared an image of himself holding two basketballs, accompanied by the caption, “The bigger the balls, the bigger the legacy.”

This interaction stands in contrast to Pippen’s previous political associations. The NBA Hall of Famer, primarily recognized for his Chicago Bulls career, has historically maintained connections with Democratic figures, particularly Barack Obama. Their relationship included participating in a good-luck basketball game during the 2012 election, and Obama even sent Pippen a personal birthday note when he turned 50 in 2015.

Recently, Pippen appeared on the Patrick Bet David podcast, where he discussed his complicated relationship with Michael Jordan. “I just think Michael is a very difficult person to deal with,” Pippen said of their relationship. “I played with him for years, so I know that when it’s time for you to move in your direction, then go in your direction.”

“Don’t sit there and try to procrastinate or stretch it that the relationship is not where it was or not what it used to be, and it’s never going to be the same,” he added. “So why try and make something out of nothing? Or try to make something that was never there?”

While his political stance may have evolved over time, Pippen’s true political affiliations remain unclear based on this social media exchange alone.
