Trudeau Did Not Share Fake Trump-Falling Photo Online

A purported social media screenshot circulating online claims to show Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau sharing an image of Canadians forcing former President Donald Trump off a cliff’s edge.

The alleged X post features a picture of people holding Canadian flags near a precipice, with what appears to be Trump falling, accompanied by the text “Oh Canada!” and “Canada be like ‘Get tha fuck outta here eh?'”

However, this claim lacks credibility. A thorough search of Trudeau’s X profile reveals no such post, and no legitimate news sources have reported on this alleged content. Analysis using Hive Moderation, an AI detection tool, suggests the Trump image was likely generated using artificial intelligence technology, with 99% probability.

The timing of this false claim is notable, as it follows a recent dinner meeting between Trump and Trudeau at Mar-a-Lago.

Both leaders reported positive outcomes from their discussion, with Trump mentioning conversations about fentanyl and trade issues, while Trudeau characterized the meeting as “excellent,” according to CNN’s reporting.

In contrast to the fabricated post, Trudeau’s actual communication regarding Trump has been diplomatic. Following Trump’s election victory, Trudeau posted a congratulatory message highlighting that “The friendship between Canada and the U.S. is the envy of the world.”
