Trump Criticizes Cases Against Him

Former President Donald Trump spent part of his Memorial Day criticizing the legal cases against him. The former president’s comments came as the jury in his New York criminal trial may produce a verdict as early as this week.

“Happy Memorial Day to All, including the Human Scum that is working so hard to destroy our Once Great Country, & to the Radical Left, Trump Hating Federal Judge in New York that presided over, get this, TWO separate trials, that awarded a woman, who I never met before (a quick handshake at a celebrity event, 25 years ago, doesn’t count!), 91 MILLION DOLLARS for “DEFAMATION,” wrote the former president, referencing Judge Lewis Kaplan.

The comments were centered around accusations from author E. Jean Carroll and the subsequent defamation trial.

“She didn’t know when the so-called event took place – sometime in the 1990’s – never filed a police report, didn’t have to produce the “dress” that she threatened me with (it showed negative!), & sung my praises in the first half of her CNN Interview with Alison Cooper, but changed her tune in the second half – Gee, I wonder why (UNDER APPEAL!)?” he wrote.

Trump called Judge Arthur Engoron a “wacko.” Engoron ruled against Trump in a separate trial brought by the state of New York accusing him of misrepresenting his worth.

The former president also published posts on social media thanking veterans for the service during the holiday.

It is not clear what the result of the New York criminal case will be. The former president is facing charges related to the aftermath of a reported brief relationship with former adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

Trump attorney Alina Habba said last week that the jury in the New York case should have been sequestered and not allowed to go home for the holiday. She feared that anti-Trump bias could reach the jurors from the general public.

And for them to be able to be out and about on a holiday weekend with friends and families who have opinions, who are watching the news, TVs on in the background at the pool party, I have serious concerns,” Habba said.

“If they’re left-winging and they’re watching MSDNC, as my client calls it, or CNN, they’re not going to get fair news,” she added.
