Trump inspires Democrats to tackle illegal immigration issues

President-elect Trump’s influence is already creating shifts in how Democratic city mayors approach illegal immigration, according to former acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf, now executive director of the American First Policy Institute.

“Leadership makes all the difference in the world… he is not even in office yet and we’re starting to see changes. We’re starting to see blue city mayors, [New York City] Mayor [Eric] Adams is a perfect example of that, starting to meet with Tom Homan, the incoming border czar and start talking about the need to remove criminal illegal aliens from New York City,” Wolf stated.

According to Wolf, this represents a significant departure from Adams’ previous stance. He predicts other Democratic city leaders will adopt similar positions, responding to their constituents’ priorities regarding community safety.

Addressing recent mysterious drone sightings, particularly in New Jersey, Wolf expressed concern about public trust in the Biden administration’s handling of the situation. He suggested that Americans feel they’re being kept in the dark about these aerial phenomena.

“The American people believe something is being hidden from them,” Wolf noted, attributing this to the administration’s lack of transparency and accountability.

He challenged the administration’s assurances about national security, arguing that if there truly isn’t a threat, they should provide clear explanations about the sightings. Wolf emphasized that officials are evading the core question about what’s occurring in American airspace.

“They are missing the main issue here … [and] are not answering the fundamental question, which is: what is up in the sky above our homes. Tell us what’s going on here … the American people just don’t have trust in the government, and that is a dangerous thing,” Wolf concluded.
