Former President Donald Trump announced that he has reached agreements with Fox News, NBC News, and ABC News for three debates in September. Now, the ball is in Vice President Kamala Harris’s court to accept or decline the challenges.
During a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Trump revealed that he has confirmed a debate with Fox News on Sept. 4, followed by an ABC News debate on Sept. 10, and an NBC News debate on Sept. 25.
The former president also mentioned that there is a “fairly full agreement” on the NBC News debate, pending final approval from the network. Additionally, Trump indicated that CBS would be handling the vice-presidential debate.
“Those networks, they’re very anxiously awaiting that date and those dates,” Trump said. “We have spoken to the heads of the networks, and it’s all been confirmed, other than some fairly minor details – audience, some location, which city would we put it into – but all things that will be settled very easily.”

However, the former president suggested that Harris may not accept the debate.
“I don’t know if they’re going to agree,” Trump said. “She’s barely competent, and she can’t do an interview”:
Despite his skepticism about the vice president’s decision, Trump insists he looks forward to debating his opponent.
“But I look forward to the debates because I think we have to set the record straight. Why is it that millions of people were allowed to come into our country from prisons, from jails, from mental institutions, insane asylums – even insane asylums,” the former president said.

Trump and President Joe Biden had initially agreed to a September 10 debate hosted by ABC News. However, Trump canceled the event after a successful behind-the-scenes pressure campaign from top Democrats, donors, and Hollywood elites led to Biden being replaced as the Democratic nominee.
