Vance Slam Harris For Copying Trump Again

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) took a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris while campaigning on Tuesday, ridiculing what he called her sudden shift from being the most liberal sitting U.S. senator to backing Trump-like policies, such as no taxes on tips and advocating for a secure border.

Vance, who is running for vice president alongside former President Donald Trump, made light of Harris’s seeming habit of waiting to see how a Trump policy is received before introducing her own “new” policy that closely resembles it, joking with the audience in Grand Rapids, Michigan, about this pattern.

“I read a story this morning that her advisers are considering just copying all of Donald Trump’s policies,” Vance joked, prompting laughs from the crowd. “They’re more popular. In fact, I’ve heard that for her debate in just a couple of weeks, she’s going to put on a navy suit, a long red tie, and adopt the slogan,’ Make America Great Again.’”

The former president hinted at Vice President Harris’s habit of mimicking him during a speech on the economy in mid-August.

“Kamala Harris won’t end the economic crisis, she will only make it worse,” Trump told voters in North Carolina. “And why hasn’t she done it? She talks about it, she’s doing a plan, you know, she’s going to announce it this week maybe. She’s waiting for me to announce it so she can copy it.”

Harris’s latest presidential campaign ad includes footage of the border wall along the United States-Mexico border, which was constructed during former President Donald Trump’s administration. The ad shows open sections of the wall that were temporarily halted during the tenure of Harris and President Joe Biden.

The ad aims to present Harris as a protector of the nation’s border, featuring specific footage of the wall in Sasabe, Arizona. This footage appears to have been taken from a Voice of America news clip that was published in May of this year.
