Washington Post Failing to Prop Up Biden

At this point in time, the left-wing bias of the mainstream media is well-established and well-documented.

Far too often, networks like CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, etc., work to prop up Democrats at each and every turn. Meanwhile, these networks don’t even pretend to give Republicans or conservatives a fair shake when it comes to coverage.

Even as the country is coming apart at the seams, due to Biden’s leadership, the media is still largely trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes.

The Washington Post recently tried to spin the current state of the economy to cast Biden in a favorable light; yet, according to The Federalist, this did not turn out so well.

The Most Ridiculous Take on the US Economy

In an op-ed penned by Washington Post journalist Jennifer Rubin, the current economy was described as “extraordinary.”

Rubin also made the point that if inflation wasn’t currently present, then Biden’s performance on the economy would be nothing short of “unmatched.” Naturally, this did not go over in the way the Washington Post expected.

In 2022, inflation is the defining factor of the US economy. It’s made everything from groceries to gas, plane tickets, clothes, etc., more expensive. However, this new op-ed is far from the only time the media tried to spin Biden’s poor economic policies.

At one point, the media was even claiming that inflation is a positive thing in the lives of Americans. Needless to say, people who are struggling to feed their families have a very different outlook on the situation.

Pushback from Americans Experiencing Inflation

The Washington Post’s description of the current economy as “extraordinary” is being raked across the coals by different social media users.

Many Americans don’t think it’s “extraordinary” to have to cut back on essentials in order to avoid losing everything.

Likewise, when the Federal Reserve increased nationwide interest rates last month, this was not described as “extraordinary” by people with mortgages, loans, credit card debt, medical bills, etc.

At the end of the day, the Washington Post’s attempt to spin the truth about inflation is a prime reason why the media is not trusted by the American public today.

If the media really wanted to be able to say the economy was “extraordinary,” they’d be covering the importance of cutting back on spending. Spending is what got the economy into its current mess and Biden is all too eager to continue running up the national debt.

There’s nothing “extraordinary” about people’s lives and finances falling apart.
