Whoopi Goldberg ‘Apologizes’ After ‘Doubling Down’ On Jewish Comments

It was about time that Whoopi Goldberg got hit with facts and pushback from The View cast and the views, the network, and other leftist talk show hosts.

Whoopi Goldberg said that the holocaust wasn’t about race. It was “man’s inhumanity to man.” That doesn’t make sense.

Hitler didn’t like Jews and was very clear about the Jews being a race of people. Hitler called Jews a “race-tuberculosis of the peoples” and said the “ultimate goal must be to remove the Jews altogether.”

That doesn’t sound like a man’s inhumanity to other men. It sounds like the extermination of an entire race. Goldberg should read a history book before she opens her mouth next.

What would Goldberg say about slavery? Was that just man’s inhumanity toward other men, or was it about race? Slavery was an awful time in history, but if that was about race and people weren’t being exterminated by the thousands, what makes Goldberg think that the holocaust wasn’t about race?

Goldberg issued an apology on Twitter that was disingenuous and unthoughtful, but the good news is that Goldberg has been suspended for two weeks.

Kim Godwin, ABC News President, said, “Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments.” Godwin added, “While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family, and communities.”

Michael Rapaport also went after Goldberg directly, saying that slavery wasn’t about race. Rapaport tweeted, “YES #WhoopiGoldberg it was ALL & ONLY about RACE. Apologize!!!! #NazisInFlorida”

Not sure where the Florida Nazis are, but you can at least agree with Rapaport that Goldberg should apologize.

Goldberg isn’t sorry. She later spoke to Stephen Colbert and said, “I was saying, ‘You can’t call this racism. It was evil.’ It wasn’t based on the skin. You couldn’t tell who was Jewish. They had to delve deeply to figure it out.”

Doubling down naturally made fans and critics even more upset. It tells you that Goldberg neither cares nor is sorry about her comments. Goldberg feels entitled because she’s a Democrat and a Black American. Thanks to social justice warriors, Goldberg is virtually immune to censorship or firing. Now we have a holocaust denier on a prominent cable news program.
