Former White House Doctor Doubts Biden’s Mental State

The White House Physician for former President Barack Obama confirmed much of the concern regarding President Joe Biden’s age and mental acuity this week following the release of special counsel Robert Hur’s findings regarding Biden’s alleged retention of classified material. Hur ultimately decided not to recommend charges against the president in part due to a number of incidents in which Biden appeared to forget key elements from his life.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX), who previously served as White House physician, said that the special counsel’s report “validates” concerns about the president’s health. Jackson said that Biden is currently facing “serious issues.”

He told Fox News that he had been arguing “since he was candidate Joe Biden that this man is not cognitively fit to be our president, our commander in chief and our head of state. I’ve been saying that over and over.”

“I watched the man every day, you know, in and around the West Wing for eight years when he was vice president. There’s a drastic, drastic difference between then and now,” said Jackson.

The former White House doctor said that Biden was “cognitively unfit to be our commander in chief, and it’s going to be a problem for us.”

He added that this was a “real national security issue. I mean, it’s always been a national security issue, but it’s a national security issue that just gets worse by the day.”

Hur wrote in his report that if the documents case was brought to trial “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

The current concern about Biden’s age and health stands in sharp contrast to the medical reports for former President Donald Trump. During his time in office, the White House doctor said that the former president was “fit for duty.”

Furthermore, a number of polls have found that an overwhelming majority of Americans expressed concern about Biden’s ability to serve effectively in the White House. However, polls do not show nearly the same amount of concern regarding Trump, despite the fact that Trump is 77 years old.
