Majority Of American Youth Support ‘End of Israel’

A significant number of young people polled in the United States showed sympathy for the Hamas terrorist organization, answering that it would be the best group to control the current state of Israel at the end of the current conflict. The  included some particularly interesting insights regarding the current Mideast war.

Among Americans between the ages of 18 and 24, a majority believed that the end of the conflict should result in “Israel to be ended and given to Hamas and the Palestinians.” This statement was disagreed with by the general public, including just 4% who were above the age of 65.

In addition, when asked about whether they support Israel or Hams during the current war, younger voters were evenly split. Among the general population, 81% supported Israel and 19% supported Hamas.

The same poll also showed some surprising results regarding the perceived oppressive nature of different ethnic groups. According to the results, 35% of the general public believes that there is “an ideology that White people are oppressors and nonwhite people and people of certain groups have been opposed and as a result should be favored today at universities and for employment.”

This includes a small 19% of people above the age of 65. However, among the youngest cohort, 79% agree with the statement. Those between 25 and 34 were almost evenly split with a small majority disagreeing.

The same poll asked if respondents believed that “Jews as a class are oppressors and should be treated as oppressors.” Among the entire population, just 27% agreed with that sentiment. However, among younger voters, 67% agreed with the statement.

The news also comes after recent polling showed that a majority of all adults disapprove of President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war.
