AOC Says Trump May Jail Her

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said last week that she feared that former President Donald Trump could have her arrested if he was elected to a second term. The statement came as a number of former Trump officials made similar comments regarding a possible return to the White House.

The representative said in a recent interview that while it may sound “nuts,” she “wouldn’t be surprised if this guy threw me in jail.”

“He’s out of his mind. I mean, he did his whole first campaign around ‘lock her up.’ This is his motto,” she added.

“I take him at his word when he says that he’s going to round up people. I take him at his word when he threatens journalists. I take him at his word,” she said.

Scaramucci said that Trump would use the FBI similar to the Nazi secret police, the Gestapo. He said Trump’s recent comments that he does not want revenge for his trial and conviction was false.

“He’s also told friends of mine that have defended him in court, defense attorneys, that he wants to use the FBI as the Gestapo. He probably doesn’t know what that means, but he has said that,” Scaramucci said.

The comments came as former Trump attorney Michael Cohen said that people could soon be summarily killed or arrested. He made a comment that individuals could soon be falling out of windows, which was a reference to suspicious deaths in Russia under President Vladimir Putin.

Former Trump communications official Anthony Scaramucci said something similar last week.

Trump denies any of the allegations, stating that he would only like to act as a dictator on his first day in office.

The comments also came as the former president appears to be gaining momentum in the campaign trail. He leads in a number of important polls and has raised tens of millions of dollars since he was convicted by a New York jury last month.

Trump held a series of successful campaign events in recent days, including one where he was greeted by supporters in Orange County, California. He also received a crucial police organization endorsement in Las Vegas.
